Body (2008) is a series of performances created in California's Death Valley by artist Mia Eve Rollow and Caleb Duarte with the assistance of Priya Mohan and Josue Duarte.

 

While in her first semester in Graduate school at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Mia suffered a car accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Soon after Mia returned to complete her studies. For the next two years, Mia and Caleb began to collaborate on a series of sculptural and body performances while working on their graduate thesis exhibition. This began an intense decade of art making centering the body and public spaces as key elements of their collective work.
